Mrs. Gwendolyn Delois Faulkner 61, a residence of Brian Center, Statesville, was born in Halifax County, Virginia, on February 15, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Charlie Faulkner, Sr., and Virginia Watkins. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was employed with a Hotel as a Housekeeper. Gwendolyn was a member of Christ Cathedral, where she was very active. She will truly be missed.
In addition to her parents, Charlie Faulkner, and Virginia Watkins, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Faulkner, Jr., and Jerome Faulkner; one sister, Cynthia Amedee.
Gwendolyn leaves to cherish the memories of her life three son, Antonio (Claudale) Faulkner, of Washington D.C., Brian ( Richada) Strange, S. Boston, and Cornelius (Tiffany) Faulkner, of Catawba, N.C.; two daughters, Julanda (Rodney) Tucker, Halifax Virginia, and Monica Faulkner, of Hickory, N.C.; two brothers, Larry Faulkner, and Harold Faulkner, both of S. Boston; two sisters, Carolyn Edmundson, S. Boston, Virginia, and Patricia Stephens, of Roxboro, N.C., twenty three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday,August 10, 2018, at Christ Cathedral Of Deliverance at 2:00 p.m.. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Belmont Cemetery. Members of the family will assemble at the residence of Monica Faulkner, 2875 Highland Avenue, NE, Hickory, N.C.
