Mr. Todd Darnell Lackey, 54, of 622 Mocksville Road, Statesville, was born May 27, 1964, to the late Ollie Eugene Lackey, Sr. and MaeNell Brown Lackey in Iredell County. He departed this life on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank Falls and Inez L. Lyons; his maternal grandparents, Bishop V. M. and Mother Ocie Brown and Nancy Johnson Brown; and a brother, Ollie Eugene Lackey, Jr., affectionately called "Bear Rug."

Todd was a graduate of South Iredell High School, class of 1982 and was a member of Bibleway Church Headquarters. He will truly be missed.

Todd leaves to cherish the memory of his life, four sisters, Sheila Wasson, Carolyn B. Cuthrell, Barbara L. Dobbins, all of Statesville, and Georgina Gillespie of Salisbury; six aunts, Marie (Eddie) Fonseca, Peggy Lackey, Geneva Blackwell, Vera (L. J.) Flowers, all of Statesville, Evelyn Brown of Troutman and Bertha Nesbit-Brown of Memphis, TN; six uncles, Matthew (Loretta) Brown Corona, NY, David Brown, Pastor Donald Brown and Artis Brown all of Statesville, Samuel (Stephanie) Brown of Snellville, GA and Dennis (Sandra) Brown of Charlotte; nephews and nieces, Micheal (Nicole) T. Wasson, II, TaKyshia M. Frazier both Woodbridge VA and Jason Geter of Statesville; great nephews and nieces, Jasmine Gillion, Tatyana Frazier, Christopher Frazier, Jr., Zaire Wasson, Elijah Wasson all of Woodbridege, VA, John Bowman of Statesville, Bryant Mills of Stantonsburg, NC; a great-great nephew, Germaine Gillion of Woodbridge, VA; special friends, Jimmy Rolen, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sidden and Tom; a host of cousins, church family and dear friends.
