Mrs. Nola Graham Peck, daughter of the late Willie Graham, Sr. and Julia Katherine Hudson Graham, was born in Iredell County on June 13, 1947. She passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at her residence.
She was married to David Wesley Peck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brent Tyrone Peck; siblings, Priscilla Orene Saddler, Judy Graham, Joan Graham, Clarence Graham, Fred Graham, Diane Graham, James Charles Graham, and a nephew, Bill Saddler and an aunt, Annie Stanley.
She graduated from Unity High School in 1965 and at one time was employed by Basset Furniture Company as a Material handler. She was a member of New Creation Baptist Church where she served on the Kitchen Committee.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, three children, Julila Peck of the home; Edward (Penny) Peck and Marcus (Jennifer) Graham, both of Statesville; three brothers, Jerry W. (Sandra) Graham, Willie Graham, Jr., and Ronald (Kathy) Graham, all of Statesville; two sisters, Annie V. (William) Steele of Petersburg, Virginia and Gladys L. Graham, both of Statesville; a sister-in-law, Pastor Deborah Graham of Statesville; godbrother, Reverend Robert (Mary) Coleman; four grandchildren, Jasmine Peck, Latosha Davidson, Yana Davidson and Malik Rankin, all of Statesville; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah Peck, Shaniah Redmon, Parish Foster, quavion Foster, Alashia Graham, Jamaris Graham, Demetris Jean, McKinsley Davidson, Julia Graham and Jariah Graham; a great aunt, Annie V. Mathis; aunt, Mamie Graham and, all of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
A Joint Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend James Robinson will officiate and Reverend Robert Coleman will eulogize with burial to follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times. Visit the Book of Memories for Mrs. Peck at www.rutledgeandbigham.com.
