Obituary for Annie Ruth Lackey (Ramseur)

Mrs. Annie Ruth Ramseur Lackey, 74, of 1330 Fifth Street, Statesville, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 22, 2018, following an extended illness. She was born in Iredell County on March 16, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Commodore Ramseur and Annie Mae Nicholson Ramseur. She was married to Charles Dwight Redmond, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lovely Ramseur; two brothers, Jimmy Ramseur and Glen Ramseur and a sister, Evelyn Ramseur.
She attended the Mocksville City Schools and Bibleway Church #6.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Talisa Lynette (Keshawn Imes) Ramseur and Shakila Jean Ramseur, both of the home; six sisters, Louise Leach of Troutman, Dorothy Mae Patterson of Patterson, New Jersey, Mary Brawley and Chanie Sue Ramseur, both of Statesvlle, Frances Ramseur of Troutman and Angela (Frank) Pedorza of Statesville; two great granchildren, Destiny Suzanne Ramseur and Shynasti Chaffone Ramseur, both of Statesville; a special friend, James Via of the home; a friend, Charles Grant of Statesville; her dog, Chewy Ramseur of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
