Obituary for Ada Marie Rankins
Psalm 30:5 " Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning"
Ada Marie Rankins, 71, was born in Iredell County on February 27, 1951, to the late Elmer Rankin, and Rosie Williams Rankin. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Hackensack University Hospital, in New Jersey.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandmothers, Marie Williams, and Ada Rankin.
Ada attended Unity High School and was a member at Cameron Presbyterian church. She enjoyed watching TV, and some of her favorite shows were Gunsmoke, and the Cooking Channels. Ada will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, a daughter, Glennette Jamesa Rankins, of Patterson, N.J.; a brother, Chester Leazer; sisters, Margie (Stanley) Thomas, of Troutman and Hallie (Richard) Davidson of Elmwood; two grandsons, Quameir Reid, and Mar'Quir Darby, both of N. J.; and an aunt, Dora Rankin, of Cleveland, N.C.; nieces, nephews, including, Sharlene Davidson, Cassina Davidson, Kim (John) Terry, Michelle (Dwight) Johnson, Sheka Rankins, Nikki Rankins, Tristan Rankins, Aniya Rankins, Antonio Rankins, Jubreia Clark, Derek Clark, Shatiya Glaspy, and Gerald Leazer; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 -2:00 pm, at the funeral home.
