Obituary for Alvis Wayne Harding

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."

Mr. Alvis Wayne Harding, 63, was born in Yadkin County on March 1, 1960 to the late Oscar Blackwell and Mae Harding. He departed this life on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Alvis graduated from Forbush High School. He worked at MFG Composites as a machine operator.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his wife, Norma Jean McDonald Harding; two sons, Adrian Horne, and Walter (Brandy) Horne; three daughters, Nora Harding, Stephanie Harding, and Amy Floyd; two brothers, Michael Harding, and Gray Harding; two sisters, Malinda Harding, and Dora Mar Crawford; five grandsons, Adrian Horne, Jayvon Horne, Charles Floyd, Aarron Floyd, and Aiden Horne; five granddaughters, Serenity Horne, Trinity Horne, Adrianna Horne, Amya Floyd, and Zaeli Horne; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham . Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery.
