Obituary for Bonita Taylor

Bonita  Taylor
Mrs. Bonita Taylor, 59, of 335 Little Rd. Hiddenite NC, passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017, she was born in Iredell County on September 19, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Ebertt Raeford Adams and Elmeta Bennett Adams.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter Brenzell Summers and her twin sister Anita Adams Nichols, a brother, Joseph Adams; nieces, Amanda Adams, four nephews, Craig Blount, Greg Blount, Candance Adams and Zachaia Adams.

She was a member of Zion Chapel AME Zion Church in Hiddenite where she was a Class Leader, Leader of Leaders, Director of the Children's Choir, and a member of the Lay Council. Mrs. Taylor was also a graduate of Alexander Central High School and was employed by Lowe’s as an Operations Coach.

In addition to her mother, Elmeta Bennett Adams, she leaves to cherish the memory of her life, one brother, James "Binder" Adams of Hiddenite; three sisters, Margaret R. Adams of Hiddenite, Frances Blount of Taylorsville, Raynell (John) Poole of Hiddenite and Karen (William) Blount of Taylorsville; a son-in-law, Tyrone Summers, Jr. of Statesville; nieces and nephews, Marilyn Adams, Etoya Blount, WIlliam D. Blount and Robert Blount; one uncle, Calvin "Tom" (Willie Mae) Bennett of Statesville; three aunts, Martha Johnson of Taylorsville and Florence Wilson of Hiddenite; a special friend, Alisha Wellman; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Zion Chapel AME Zion Church Rev. Earnest Stinson will officiate and Dr. C. Randy Minor, Phd will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Zion Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state at 11:30 a.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence, at other times.
