Obituary for Bradley Leonard Nesbit

John 11:25 " Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"

Mr. Bradley Leonard Nesbit, of 808 Old Mountain Road, Statesville, N. C. was born in Iredell County on November 23, 1955, and was the son of the late Robert Arnold Nesbit and Bobbie Nell Watts Nesbit. He departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, N. C., following an extended illness.

He was a 1975 graduate of West Iredell High School and served wit the United States Navy and was honorably discharge on July 14, 1984. He was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his daughters, Kenya (Joe) Nesbit Davis of Mooresville and Nerissa Lynn (Channing) Minor of Clarksville, TN; a step daughter, Michelle Sturdivant of Statesville; one brother, Edward (Debra) Nesbit of Statesville; one sister, Bonnie (Terry) Bellamy of Statesville; grandchildren, Antony Nesbit, Aleah Nesbit, Brandon Davis, Aiden Minor, Alexis Minor, Kayla Rankin and Jayden Sturdivant; a special aunt, Faye Little of Charlotte; a special friend, Olynda Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, August 28, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home in Statesville, NC. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stony Point, NC.

There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION (WAKE), unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus. We, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE FUNERAL WITH A FUNERAL PASS WHICH WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FAMILY.
