Mr. Brian Darnell Cooper, 30, was born in Charleston, SC, on August 4, 1992, to Quentin Huger and Kena Lavinia Cooper. He departed this life on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at his residence.
Brian graduated from Statesville High School in 2012 and attended Trident Tech in Charleston, SC. He was to begin truck driving school in January of 2023 at Mitchell Community College.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Donald Cooper Jr.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his parents, Quentin (Denise) Huger, and Kena Lavinia Cooper; three children, Brianna Danielle Allison of Statesville, Rivers Clayton Cooper of West Virginia, and Nirvanna Peace Cooper of Statesville; his grandparents, Virginia Lee Cooper, and James and Georgia Huger; three brothers, Quinten “Duce” Huger, Jr, of Texas, Keenan Lamont Cooper of Statesville, Nassia Huger of Charleston, SC, Tony Rivera of Texas; one sister, Alexis Monique Cooper of Statesville; and a host of aunts, uncles, other family members, and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Greater Holy Temple, Statesville. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the church. Overseer Annette Houston will be officiating and Bishop Al Jamel Stephens will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery.
