The Call was sudden, the shock severe, we little thought the time was near
Those who have lost can only tell, the pain of parting without farewell
Mrs. Chasity Nicole Summers Davidson, beloved daughter of Beulah Mae Summers Smith and the late Calvin Lewis Smith, was born in Iredell County on July 12, 1974. She departed this life on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at her home unexpectedly.
She attended the Statesville High School and Stand Outreach. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Dewayne Davidson.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, in addition to her mother, Beulah Summers Smith of Salisbury; one daughter, Makayla Shuford (Kenneth Jones) of the home; a step-son, Danthony Davidson of Statesville; a godson, Kenzo Davis of Charlotte; two brothers, Quince "Pee Wee" (Mitsy) Carruth of Philadelphia, Pa. and Vincent (Laura) Summers of Gastonia; a sister, Herlene Summers of Salisbury; brothers-in-law, Michael (Jessica) Davidson and Marcus Davidson, both of Mooresville; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Jones, Kamon Jones, Gavin Davidson, Gracilyn Davidson, Graylin Davidson, Ahlani Davidson, Danthony Davidson, Jr.; aunts and uncles including Raymond Smith, Jr., Brenda Millsaps and Patricia Kent; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life and Interment Services will be held at The Belmont Cemetery on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Rufus Connor will officiate.
There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION (WAKE), unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus. We, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
GENERAL PUBLIC VIEWING WILL START FROM 3:00 P.M. UNTIL 6:00 P.M. ON Thursday, MARCH 11, 2021 AND RESUME ON Friday morning, March 12, 2021 FROM 10:00 A.M. UNTIL THE 1:00 p.m.
