Obituary for Cindy Francine Glover

Isaiah 35:10 ..and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing, everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Mrs. Cindy Francine “Wue” Glover, 64, was born on Tuesday, November 19, 1957, in Iredell County, to the late C. L. Darty and Mary Frances Glover Harris. She departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Cindy was affectionately known as “Wue” by her friends and family. She attended Iredell County Schools and was employed as a CNA at the Brian Center, Statesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Samuel "Pete" Ikard; a brother, Kevin Myers; sister, Cynthia Falls; grandmothers, Gladys Pledger, and Mary Darty; grandfathers, James Dubois, and Marty Darty; five uncles, Rufus Glover, Robert Glover, James Glover, Rodney Glover, and Samuel Pledger; one aunt, Betty Whren.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, one son, Chad (Danette) Glover of Statesville; one daughter, Shanika Glover of Statesville; four grandchildren, Leasia Glover, Shallah Glover, Niyin Miller, and Jabreea Glover; eleven siblings, Reginald (Helen) Darty of San Francisco, CA, Michael (Rosa) Glover of Statesville, Cynthia Glover of Statesville, Pastor Tewanna Myers of Statesville, Johna Myers of Statesville, Jeffery Myers of Statesville, John Myers, Vickey Connor, Karen (Richard) Scott, Selena (Stacey) Harris, Denise Harrison; best friend, David Johnson; special friends, Charlene Shakir, Peggy Chambers, Regenia Morrison-Skinner, and Johnnie C. Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont, at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 1:00 -1:30 pm at the church and burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery, Statesville. Co Pastor Constance Transou will officiate the service and Bishop Stanley Transou will deliver the eulogy.
