Obituary for Freddie "Jimmy" Falls

Matthew 7:1 Judge Not That Ye Be Not Judged

Mr. Freddie Frank Falls, Jr., son of the late Frank and Ora Lee Blackwell Falls, was born in Iredell County on February 3, 1941. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Accordius Health Care, in Statesville, NC.

“Jimmy Falls”, as he was affectionately called by his friends, worked for Black and White Knitting and also owned his own Clothing Line, “ Falls Clothing”. Jimmy loved his family and friends and working on his cars. He joined Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ at an early age. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Annette Falls Murdock, Patricia Ann Falls and a niece, Cynthia Diane Falls.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, one son, Vincent Lamar Rucker, of Statesville, N.C.; one daughter, Lisa Blackwell Bost, of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Betty Jo Falls, of New York, Ruby (Oscar) Davidson of Troutman, NC and Mary Jane Miller, Statesville, NC; seven grandchildren, Tayven Rucker, Nariyah Rucker, Juquail Rucker, Camiyah Rucker, Tracy “Tre” Bost, Shanquena Bost, and Tiffany Bost; four great grandchildren, Queniyah Bost, Laniyah Glenn, Isaiah Bost, and Aniyah Bost; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary, Statesville, N.C.. Reverend James Williams will deliver the eulogy. Members of the family will receive friends in the Rutledge and Bigham chapel from 1:30-2:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
