Obituary for Isaac Anderson Stockton

Isaac Anderson Stockton, 78, was born in Iredell County, on June 11, 1944, to the late Foreman Butler and Helen Phifer Stockton. He was married to Andrea Linney Stockton, who preceded him in death. He departed this life on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist hospital.
He graduated from R.A. Clement High School in Cleveland, N.C., in 1962 and was drafted into the U.S. Army, in 1962, where he was honorably discharged. Isaac was employed by Uniglass Industries and later employed with Engineered Sinitered Components, in Troutman, N.C., where he retired.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille McNeely, Nellie Murcherson, and Bertha Brawley; a brother, Henry Stockton; brothers-in-law, John Powell, William Randolph Linney and James Cordell Linney, Jr., sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Libby) Pearson; father-in-law, James Cordell Linney, Sr., and mother-in-law, Beulah Wilson Linney.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Brian (Barbara) Stockton; a brother, Clarence (Shirley) Eugene Stockton, of Lumberton; sister-in- law, Opal Stockton, of Cleveland; two cousins who were just like sisters, Elizabeth Moore, and Helen P.(Bobby) Moore, of Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Gail Linney Powell, of Statesville, Anita Linney, of Harmony, and Opal Stockton, of Cleveland; three brothers-in-law, Tim (Betty) Wasson, John "Pete" Linney, and Leon Pearson, all of Statesville, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, loving neighbors, friends, and co-workers.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Cameron Presbyterian Church at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:30 p.m. Reverend Timothy Bates will officiate and burial will will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in the National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C., at 10:00. Family will meet at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m..
