Our heartfelt condolences are shared with his son, Lionel, and granddaughter Angela (Heard) Davis. Our family grew up with Mr. Heard at the Isle of Patmos Baptist Church, in Washington, DC, over 50 years ago. He was a fine usher, outstanding trustee, a faithful member of the Male Chorus, and loyal friend. He always had a kind word to share with others. Once he moved away, he never forgot to visit with his church family and friends. We will certainly miss his kind face and gentle spirit.

May the peace of God continue to comfort the family.

Grandad words can't express what I am going through right now! I am grateful that we were able to speak, laugh and express our love. I am going to miss laughing with you and just having general conversation. God had a bigger plan for you and for that I am truly grateful. I love you with everything in me Grandad, until we meet again. Your Granddaughter Michelle Heard
