Obituary

For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone
Its all a part of the masters plan
A step on the road to home..

Mr. James Michael Dixon, 46, of 645 Old Mountain Road, Statesville, N. C. was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on January 16, 1974, and was the son of Patricia Witt Dixon and the late Donald Ray Dixon. He departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at his home unexpectedly.
He was a High School graduate and at the time of his death was employed by Freightliner as a forklift driver. In addition to his father, Donald Ray Dixon, he was preceded in death by a brother, Chucky Clark. He was married to Ginger Marie Hall Dixon, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Ginger and his mother, Patricia; he is survived by two sons, Austin James Colling of Mooresville and Michael Braxton Dixon of Statesville; his step-son, Dakota Austin Hall of Statesville; his sister, Donna Dixon of Statesville; two nieces, Pandora Noelle Dixon and Passion Leigh Pennington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
It seems so unreal that you are gone
When just the other day
You walked and talked and laughed with us
Then suddenly slipped away
Your peaceful smile, your joyful laugh
How sweet the memory still
Your parting left an aching void
This world will never fill.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to the Dixion family. May you find comfort knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for you and will comfort you during this time. (2Corinthians 1:3,4; 2Thessalonians 2:16,17) Jerry will be missed by all. Jesus gave us a wonderful hope that we may see our loved ones again when he said at John 5:28,29 that there will be a resurrection. May we keep our eyes on the promises of our Heavenly Father who promised that one day no one will say I am sick, (Isaiah 33:24) and that all our pain, sorrow and even death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3,4) Many prayers are with the family. May you have peace.
