Remembering the Life of
Mrs. Jeneen Anita McCall Simmons
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure
You are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure
Mrs. Jeneen Anita McCall Simmons, beloved daughter of Leola Alberta Davis McCall and the late Willie Charles McCall, was born in Conway, South Carolina on April 9, 1971. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at her home.
She was a graduate of Conway High School in Conway, S.C., Horry County Technical Community College in South Carolina and received a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University. She was employed by Conway Hospital, Grand Strand Hospital and was a traveling technician with Philips Health Care. Later, she was an applications specialist with Princeton Medical Center. In addition to her father, Willie Charles McCall, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Amy McCall, her mother-in-law, Beulah Lawson; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Richardson and Linda Fountain. She was united in marriage to Percy Lee Simmons, who survives.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life in addition to her husband, Percy of the home and her mother, Leola Davis McCall of Freeport, Florida; her children, Kenneth Sherman, Jr. of Midland, Texas, Keith Sherman of Hoboken, New Jersey, Kenisha McCall and Kennita (Kevin) McCray, both of Winston-Salem and Whitney (Windy) Romage of McDonald, Georgia; two sisters, Clarissa (Tony) Livingston of Conway, South Carolina and Iris McCall of Panama City, Florida; father-in-law, J. D. Lawson of Yazoo City, MS, Dennis (Helen) Fountain of Wampee, S.C., Robert Fountain of Gulf Port, MS, Willie Fountain of Benton, MS, Fredrick Fountain of Jackson, Mississippi, Janice (Oliver) Pleasant of Jackson, Mississippi and Jason (Kim) Lawson of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren, Arianna McCall, Jediah Romage, Jayden Morriguois, Trey Sherman, Aniya Ranson, Noah Romage, Antonio Smith, Kylee Sherman, Amisha Smith, Luna Foxworth and Kalayiah McCray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends, “The Black Love Crew, Dennis & Alena, Isaac & Stacey, Sean & Monica, Shawn & Michelle, and Timothy & Bridgette.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home.

There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION, unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus we, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE FUNERAL WITH A FUNERAL PASS WHICH WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FAMILY.

GENERAL PUBLIC VIEWING WILL BE FROM 2:00 P.M. UNTIL 7:00 P.M. ON Friday. IT WILL RESUME ON Saturday FROM 9:00 A.M. UNTIL THE FUNERAL HOUR.
