Obituary

John 10: 28 " And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

A Service of Love Remembering the Life of
Ms. Junnies Ree C. Swift McGee
A smile for all, a heart of gold
One of the finest this world could hold
Never selfish, always kind
These are the memories she leaves behind…

Ms. Junnies Ree Cornelius Swift McGee, of Statesville, NC, daughter of the late John Bristol Clemmons and Vera Swift Bellamy, was born in Iredell County on June 17, 1948. She departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Saturn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, N. C. following an extended illness.

She was formerly married to James MacArthur (Catherine) McGee, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an uncle, J.C. Carr.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, two sons, Timothy (Sherry) McGee and James McGee, Jr., both of Black Mountain; three daughters, Cheri McGee of Statesville, Felita Settle of Texas and Priscilla McGee (Reginald) of Winston-Salem; one sister, Pamela Lawrence of Statesville; one brother, Bristol Renard McDowell of Statesville; one uncle, John Carr; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

In tears we saw you sinking, and watched you fade away
Our hearts were almost broken because we wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping, so peacefully and free from pain,
How could we wish you back with us to suffer that again.
It breaks our hearts to lose you, but you do no go alone
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, November 28th, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at The House of Prayer in Statesville, NC.
