Obituary for Kenneth Minor

Kenneth Leon Minor, Sr., 64, son of the late Eugene Minor and Lorene Gray Minor, was born in Iredell County on August 8, 1956. He departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2020.

He was a 1976 graduate of Statesville High School, he was previously employed by William T. Barnett, as a machine operator. He joined Mt. Calvary Holiness Church at an early age. He was a member of the Voices of Faith and singing was one of his passions. He was married to Gloria Minor, who survives.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Minor and Forrest Minor and a sister, Patricia A. Turner.

In addition to his wife, Gloria Minor, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life four sons, Octavius (Natasha) Linster and Kenneth Leon Minor, Jr, both of Statesville, Adrian (Brittany) Minor, Sr. of Charlotte and Elder Tristan Minor of Mooresville; a daughter, Kendra Minor of Charlotte; a brother, Roy Aaron Minor of Statesville; three sisters, Doris Joyce and Shirley McClain, both of Statesville and Sylvia Minor of High Point; ten grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Celebration Services will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., at Belmont Cemetery, Pastor Tewana Myers will Officiate.

There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION (WAKE), unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus. We, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE FUNERAL WITH A FUNERAL PASS WHICH WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FAMILY.

GENERAL PUBLIC VIEWING WILL BE HELD ON Sunday, December 20, 2020, beginning from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and resume Monday Morning, December 21, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. 12 Noon. You can also view Mr. Minor's remains virtually on-line at: www.youtube.com, search Kenneth Minor, Sr. Viewing.
