Ms. Mary Ann Allison, 65, was born in Iredell County on April 8, 1957 to the late Gus Edward Parson and Myrtle Sue Gregory. She departed this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House following an extended illness.
Ms. Allison attended Iredell County Schools and was a homemaker.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, two sons, Robert Purnell Parson, and David Simpson, both of Statesville; one daughter, Jennifer Rose Parson of Statesville; seven siblings, J. C. (Terry) Gregory of Charlotte, NC, Gus (Robin) Parson of Gastonia, NC, Bobby Gregory of Statesville, NC, Carl Gregory of Tennessee, Thomas (Regenia) Parson of Hickory, NC, Jeff Edward Parson of Salisbury, NC, and Teresa Moore of Salisbury, NC; three grandchildren, Shakeia Parson, Courtney Parson, and Tamara Parson; four great grandchildren, Samaria Parson, Sariah Parson, Nevaeh Parson, and Quebyn Manuel; one godson, Marcus Brown of Statesville; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loving friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, Statesville. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Reverend Dale Gibson will be officiating.
