Obituary for Mondre Simpson

Never selfish, always kind, these are the memories he leaves behind...

Mr. Mondre Rashad Simpson, 31, was born in Iredell County on February 13, 1991, and was the son Kindale Allison Goss Sr, and Lula Ann Simpson. He departed this life on April 25, 2022. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Corine Mayfield and Mae Frances Simpson; and his grandfathers, Heman Cherry, and Adam Cody.

Mondre graduated from Statesville High School and one of his favorite hobbies was fishing. He was employed as a machine operator at Pactiv of Mooresville, N.C.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his mother, Lula Ann Simpson; his father, Kindale Allison (Pam) Goss Sr.; a friend and mother of his children, Heather Chiodo; two daughters, Kashya Mae Simpson, Sikierra Ann Simpson; one son, Zayden Lee Chiodo; his godmother, Georgia (A.J.) Wilson; his godfather, Jerry Wilkins; his god grandmother, Mary Brawley; eight brothers, Martevis J. Simpson (Yasmin), Swailon Tucker Sr. (Kendra), Kaleb M. Simpson (Anna), Kindale Goss,Jr, Christian Goss, Delone Goss, Nyjel Goss, and Imari Goss; five sisters, Malaysia Ariana Simpson, Alyssa Goss, Aleiayh McDonald, Talisha Vaughters, and Talayah Goss; two uncles, Michael Goss and Edward Gaines; aunts, Shelia Mayfield, Rosetta Cherry, Dorothy "Lib" Mayfield and Mary Simpson and Myisha Gaines; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Dr. Charles Simpson will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of his father, Kindale (Pam) Goss, 419 Bell Farm Road, Statesville, N. C., at other times.

A Special Fundraiser and family gathering will be held at Lakewood Park, West Shelter on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., the public is invited to attend. Donations may also be made through cashapp at $RutledgeBigham.
