Mother Evelyn Morrison Brown, 90, was born on May 4, 1932 to the late Odell Morrison, Sr. and Mamie Frost Morrison Bruner. She departed this life on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at her home surrounded by family following a lengthy illness. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop K.E.V. Brown; brothers, Odell Morrison, Jr, Phillip Morrison; sisters, Corrine M. Lewis, Dorothy M. Wilson, Eula M. Morrison and Joyce B. Moore.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life one son, Elder Craig (Evangelist Lisa) Brown of Charlotte, NC; three daughters, Evangelist Robin (Bishop Michael) Reinhardt, Evangelist Tanna (Elder Wade) Ikard of Statesville, NC and Gwinlyn Cherry of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Michael (Candace) Reinhardt Jr., Patrick (Kisha) Reinhardt, Brittany Cherry, Clarissa Reinhardt, Anthony Craig (Sunny) Brown, Terri Brown, Evelyn Brown, Dionne Brown, Joy Brown, Quinton (Shacoby) Ikard, Jasma (Lamar) Rankin, Jerome Ikard, Wanda (Kevin) Shaw, Shaquanna Parks, and Porshae (Ryan) Johnson; a host of great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Diane Morrison, Matthew (Loretta) Brown, Samuel (Stephanie) Brown, Felton Brown, David Brown, Dennis (Sandra) Brown, L. J. Flowers, Bertha Nesbit Brown, and Phyllis Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm The Living Church, Statesville, N. C. where Bishop Terry Cherry will officiate and Elder Craig Brown will eulogize. Burial will follow at the Bibleway Church #6 Cemetery, Troutman, NC. Mother Brown will be taken to the church to lie in state at 11:00 a.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 pm until 1:00 p.m., but will assemble at her residence at other times.

Mrs. Evelyn Brown, 90, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at her residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Rutledge and Bigham is serving the Brown family.
