Obituary for Nancy Daye

Mrs. Nancy Lee Burch Robinson Daye, 76, was born in Hartwell, Georgia on July 30, 1944. She departed this life on September 3, 2020, at Rosewood Nursing Home in Olin, North Carolina following an extended illness.

She attended schools in Hartwell, Georgia and was a member of New Victory Apostolic Holiness Church in Statesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerome Robinson; a sister Evangelist Martha (Bishop James) Mack; an aunt, Beatrice Cassell; uncles, Jodie Burch and George Henry; her grandmother, Susie Burch and her dear friend, Gladys Stovall.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her son, David Robinson of the home; her goddaughters, Aretha Robson of Coolemee and Tauheeda Ramseul Freeman of Statesville; a godson, Carlos Sturgis of Statesville; three sisters, Coral Lee Ramsey of Troutman, Clark Mae Parks of Statesville and Minnie Alfreda Burch of Troutman; one uncle, Eddie Burch of Statesville; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her best friend, Beulah Robinson of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.


Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Jamie Mack will officiate.

There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION (WAKE), unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus. We, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE FUNERAL WITH A FUNERAL PASS WHICH WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FAMILY.

General Public Viewing will begin on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
