Remembering the Life of
Mrs. Pauline Mills Colvert
A smile for all, a heart of gold,
one of the finest this world could hold,
Never selfish, always kind,
these are the memories he leaves behind…

Mrs. Pauline Mills Colvert, daughter of the late James Edward Mills, Sr. and Lillian Farrar Mills, was born in Iredell County on June 1, 1953. She departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at her home following an extended illness.
She attended Dunbar High School in Mooresville and was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church in Taylorsville. She loved fishing, gospel music, watching Family Feud, Lifetime Television, playing games on her phone and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ben Mills, John Mills, Roger Mills and James Mills, Jr., and a granddaughter, Tey’Honnah Lynette Dye.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, her husband, Marvin D. Colvert; three children, Delisa Michelle (Curtis Trapp) Caldwell of the home, Nikki Nicole (William Sherrill) Caldwell and Marvin (Tamika Smyre) Caldwell, all of Statesville; one brother, Willis (Geneva) Mills of Mooresville; one sister, Georgiana Berryman of Augusta, Georgia; grandchildren, Curtis Trapp, Jr.,Ciera (Sean) Tutt, Alexander Trapp, Jared Murell, Terrance Murrell, Ty’keira Swift, Tey’kian Daniels, Tylonda Smyre and Tyrone Dye; great grandchildren, Harmony Murell, Anais Trapp, Quenton Carruth, Jr., Amiya Smyre, Serenity Carruth, Te’yaila Knotts, Tay’lyn Daniels and Ty’hon Dye; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
As long as life and memory last…

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, September 4, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home in Statesville, NC. Reverend Elliott Boston will officiate and burial will follow in the Liberty Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, N. C.
