A smile for all, a heart of gold, one of the finest this world could hold
Never selfish, always kind; these are the memories he leaves behind…
Mr. Robert Linwood Blackwell, Jr., was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 3, 1953, and was the son of Robert Linwood Blackwell, Sr. and Alfredia Heaggans Blackwell. He departed this life on February 7, 2021, at his home unexpectedly.
“New York” or “Black Ice” as he was affectionately called, was a graduate of South Iredell High School and was a loving son, brother and friend.
In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life two children, Tashaa Jones and Robert Jones, both of Brooklyn, New York; one sister, Bonita Blackwell of the home; grandchildren, Lamair Cross, Jacob Jones, Lagail Jones, Latrell Jones and Mateo Jones; a niece, Tiffany Blackwell of Statesville; one great nephew, TyQuon Blackwell of Statesville; several grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be conducted Friday, February 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Cleveland, N. C.
