Obituary for Robin Blackwell
Revelation 21:3 " And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
Robin Viola Blackwell, 63, of 1004 McCollough Street, Statesville, departed this life on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Iredell County on July 22, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Martha Frances Blackwell.
In addition to her mother, Martha Frances Blackwell, Robin was preceded in death by a son, Cadet Blackwell; a sister, Shirley Blackwell;a brother, Donald Blackwell; and a brother-n-law, Joseph Eugene Nixon.
She was employed by a Group Home, as a CNA. She was a member of Bethel Congregation Church, and she enjoyed watching TV.
She leaves to cherish the precious memory of her life, one son, Javon Dominique Blackwell, of New York; one daughter, Coty Natasha Blackwell, of the home; two brothers, Robert Randolph Blackwell, of Statesville, and Todd Lenell Blackwell, of Winston Salem; three sisters, Brenda Blackwell Nixon, of Statesville, Phyllis (Joseph) Blackwell Johnson, and Deborah Denise Blackwell, of Troutman; a sister-in-law, Betty Graham Blackwell of Troutman; six grandchildren, Taliyah Sabrae Rucker, Justice Imani Rucker, Qinsleigh Asatta Simpson, Memphis, Nasire Simpson, and Cadasia Monae Blackwell; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, November 9, 2020, 2:00 pm, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home.
There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION (WAKE), unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus. We, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
