Obituary for Roderick Tim Parker

Romans 8:35, 37 " Who will separate us from the love of Christ? For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today or tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love.

Mr. Roderick Tim Parker was born in Iredell County on May 15, 1961 to the late Roy and Margaret Morrison Parker. Tim peacefully departed this life on February 1, 2022 at the Gordon Hospice House.

Tim was a graduate of North Iredell High School. His career was in manufacturing. His last place of employment was at Betco in Statesville NC. Tim was a lifetime member of Freedom Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his loving parents, Tim was preceeded in death by siblings: Weldon Parker, Wilma Campbell, and Reginald “Reg” Parker whom he loved dearly; a niece: Yolanda Allison; and a sister-in-law: Constance “Conkie “ Parker.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his daughter: Ashley Mayberry of Statesville; a sister, Renee Moore of Statesville; one nephew: Shelton (Hope) Moore of Statesville; three nieces: Sonya Simpson of Morristown, TN, Lisa Parker and Dena (Calvin) Thomas of Cheraw SC; great nieces and nephews: Darius Sharpe, Jonah Simpson, Micah Simpson, Nebanye Moore, Kameron Summers and Alexis Allison; a brother-in-law: Ronald Campbell of Statesville; a sister-in-law: Barbara Parker of Cheraw, SC; aunts: Beatrice Moten of Statesville and Mary Frances Jackson of Sacramento, CA; special cousins: Jerry Morrison, Eveadean (Dr. Deland) Myers, Anita Linney, Leon ( Marybelle) Parker and Frances Moten; a host of other cousins, other relatives, the Freedom Presbyterian Church Family, neighbors and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, February 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Presbyterian Church in Statesville. Dr. Deland Myers will officiate and Reverend James Harley, Pastor will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Parker will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church at 12:00 p.m. to lie in state. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
