Obituary for Rodney Bennett

Mr. Rodney Craig Bennett, 56, was born in Iredell County on August 17, 1966, and was the son of the late Jimmy Holmes and Pauline Bennett. He departed this life on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Rodney graduated from Statesville Senior High and was employed at Michael Weinig Woodworking Machines of Mooresville, NC. Rodney was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his wife, Brenda Miller Bennett; one daughter, Kedra Clark Friday (Michael); two stepsons, Willie (Denetriou) Miller, and Kennen Miller, both of Statesville; his mother, Pauline Bennett; and a host of brothers and sisters including; Leon Bennett, Sharon Gregory (Brandon), both of Statesville, NC, Harold (Alice) Bennett of Hickory, NC, Steven Bennett (Kena) of Wilkesboro, NC, Amiel Bennett (Latoya) of Mooresville, NC, Hazel Kale (Dirriel) of Claremont, NC; Brothers and sisters-in-laws, James Miller of Wilmington, NC, Barbara Allison, and Pamela (Ryan) Turner both of Statesville, and Kathy (James) Simpson of Salisbury, NC; a special granddaughter, Destonie Miller of Statesville, NC; a special friend, Rodney McCullough; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends,

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. at One Accord Ministries, Statesville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m., at the church.
