Sharon Elizabeth Carson Caldwell, was born in Iredell County on June 1, 1956, and was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Davidson Kennedy. She passed away at Atrium Health, Mercy Hospital, Charlotte, N.C. on Sunday, June 6, 2021 surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Oscar Alfred Carson, Jr. and Alice Carson; her sister, Dennana Hill; and her niece, Latrish Kennedy.

She was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School and attended Mt. Sanai Baptist Church in Catawba. A loving mother, nanny and grandmother, Sharon will certainly be missed.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, her daughter, Shalanda Sabrina Harrison of Statesville; a son, Victor DeMarcus (Diane) Harrison of Claremont; her sisters, (twins) Melvina Kennedy of Catawba and Regina (Mark McWhorter) Kennedy of Hickory; grandchildren, Lashareca Harrison of Statesville, Dennena Harrison of Hickory, Christian Watkins of Claremont, Armonie Harrison of Statesville, Miranda Harrison of Statesville, Cambria Harrison of Mooresville, Alexis Graham of Mooresville, Makayla Kennedy of Hickory, Ivan Picazo and Isis Picazo both of Claremont; great grandchildren, Quinton Ikard, Amira Harrison, Lira Parker, Khloe Caldwell, and two more on the way, Morgan Elizabeth Harrison, Zayzion Antwan Nichols; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, classmates, church family and friends.


Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary.
