Obituary for Sharon Denise Sharpe

Sharon Denise Sharpe, 57, of 115 Lippard Street, passed away at her home on Friday, February 4, 2022, following an extended illness. She was born in Iredell County on September 12, 1964, and was the daughter of the late Lonnie Willis Sharpe and Sallie Bell Stevenson Sharpe.
She attended the Vocational Workshop, and was a loving daughter, sister and friend.
She leaves to remember her life, her siblings, Ralph Carlton (Susan) Sharpe, Sr. of the home; John Dewayne (Carolyn) Stevenson, James Andrew Stevenson, Curtis Stevenson, Lonnie Calvin (Lisa Denise) Stevenson and Joann Holmes; Silvia Brown, her former caregiver; a host of nieces and nephews, Curtis Imes, Lotoya Imes, Carlton Sharpe, Jr., and Shae (Ryan) Long, who was also her caregiver; aunts and uncles including, Billy Stevenson, Mildred Allison, Linda (Willie) Maddox, Brenda Clinding, Virginia Harris; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, February 11, 2022, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Minister Vince Linney will officiate and Bishop Brian Long will eulogize. Ms. Sharpe will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
