Obituary for Teresa Conner

Revelation 21:4 - " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Mrs. Teresa Faye Murdock Conner, 61, of 2110 Joe Road, Statesville, daughter of the late Jimmie Murdock and Phyllis Louise Mayberry Murdock, was born in Iredell County on August 29, 1958. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, following an extended illness.
She was a High School Graduate and was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, her husband, Walter Brennan Conner of the home; her children, Michael De’Sean Conner of Atlanta, Georgia, Jamel Thurston Conner of Statesville, Dante Louise (Christopher Stewart) Conner of Statesville; seven grandchildren, Jae’Sean Murdock Conner, Jamel Thurston Murdock Conner, and Jeremiah Murdock Conner, who were raised in the home, Juelz Gillion, Dai’ence Conner, Dante Reid and (pregnant) Kaisyn Stewart; three brothers, Jimmy Raymond (Dottie) Murdock and Michael Andrew Murdock, both of Statesville and Craig (Teresa) Redmond of Troutman; one sister, Shann Lynette (Bo) Sawyer of Statesville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie (Betty) Conner, Malinda Woods, Kathy Conner, Shay Conner and Teresa Redmon; her best friend, Paula (Sammie) Jones of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, March 22, 2020, at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, Statesville, N. C. Pastor Sadie Campbell will officiate and burial will follow in the New Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus we, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services. You can only enter the funeral with a funeral pass which has been given to the family.

General Viewing will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and resuming again on Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Please continue your prayers and love for the family.
