Ms. Theresa Annette Krider, affectionately called "Sweethang", was born in Atlantic City, NJ on Mrach 26, 1968, and was the daughter of Lillie Louise Krider and the late John Harold Taylor. She departed this life on February 24, 2021, at Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville, NC following an extended illness.
She was a 1986 graduate of North Iredell High School and was employed as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She was a former member of Knox Grove Baptist Church an later joined New Creation Baptist Church where she sang on the choir until her health failed. Theresa joined Modern Free and Accepted Masons of the World, Inc., on Auust 28, 1994, and became a lifetime member on June of 2015. She was a member of the Sunshine Chapter #921, where she was Secretary and was a faithful member. She loved softball and was so good at it.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ella Louise Krider, Nathaniel Krider, Neilly Taylor and Luther Taylor, Sr.; brothers, Carlos Taylor and Michael Taylor; her aunts, Margaret Chambers, Canary Taylor Barnes, Catherine Taylor and Nathaniel Krider, Jr.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life in addition to her mother, Lillie Louise Krider of the home; one son, Jermel Krider of Statesville; two grandchildren, Jkeilyn "Jay" Krider and Elijah Krider, both of Statesville; one brother, David (Miat) Krider of Minnesota; sisters, Tonia (Scott) Crawford of Statesville, Wanda Brooks of Millville, NJ, Cherly Brock of Mayslanding, NJ and Tracy Harley of Atlantic City, NJ; aunts, Frances (Mike) Anthony of Newton, Margie Krider of Newton, and Bernice Crosby of Claremont, uncle, Vance (Mae) McGee of Eden, NC; a host of nieces and nephews, David (Tareeka) Krider, Jr. of Salisbury; Keenan Krider, Kashonna Krider, Jasmine Leach, J'Tia Leach, Vanity Krider, DJ Krider, Kanysia Krider; special friends, Curtis White, Lillian Holland, Annette Smyre, Teresa (Billy) Shepard, Vinson (Lachara) Holland, Cedric White, Melissa White, Anita Gillion, “Sidney”, Paula Dalton and Irene Sharpe and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, February 28, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION (WAKE), unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus. We, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
