Obituary for Thomas Clarke

Revelation 21:4 " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:"
Mr. Thomas Edward Clarke, Jr., 65, was born in Iredell County on December 2, 1957, to the late Thomas Edward Clarke, Sr., and Mae Frances Freeman Clarke. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 1, 2023 at Gordon Hospice House.

Thomas was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School class of 1976. He enjoyed watching TV and fellowshipping with his family and friends. Thomas worked in landscaping, and served in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in by his sister, Vanessa Gail Moore; grandmother, Maudie Lee Freeman Parker; niece, Latasha Necole Clarke; and brother- in-law, Roscoe Scott.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life , one son, Correy Jamale (Kimeshya) Campbell, of Statesville; one brother, Charles (Margaret) Davidson, of Troutman; four sisters, Mary Scott, and Theresa Ann Clarke, both of Hickory, N.C., Beverly ( Lenzell) Jean Boddie, of Mooresville, and Antonia Annette Clarke, of Statesville; grandchildren, Iyanna James, Tatiana Tucker, Mia Campbell, and Madilyn Campbell; two great grandchildren; oldest niece, Maudie Scott, of Statesville; his god-sister, Donna Cherry, of Charlotte, N.C.; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary, at 12:30. The family will receive friends from 12- 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Reverend Bobby Samuels will do the eulogy, and burial will be on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10:00 am, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury.
