Obituary for Ti`Ya Grace Dorie Summers (Summers)

Those we have held in our arms for a little while, we hold in our hearts forever.

Ti`Ya Grace Dorie Summers, 8 months, beloved baby daughter of Titus James Summers and Tiera LaStarr Bristol Summers, was born in Burke County on September 8, 2022. She departed this life on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, N. C.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Max Bristol; her great grandparents, James A. Stevenson, Etta Summers Stevenson, Willie Paul “Red” Williams, and Carol King Williams.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her parents, Titus James Summers and Tiera LaStarr Bristol Summers of the home; her siblings, Titus Zymere Summers, Bradley Jerrell Bristol, Ti`Jhae LaStarr Mardinia Summers and Ti`La Rose Summers; her grandparents, Doris Norman Bristol of Morganton, Kelly Summers and Cherie (Chris) Gillion, both of Statesville; her great grandparents, Gracie Norman Williams and Johnny Fred Hawkins, both of Morganton; uncles and aunts, LaTrese Bristol (Antonio) Lyerly and Max Bristol, II, both of Morganton, Contesa (Daniel) Culbreath Kiara Peet, Narissa Wood, and Kelsi Summers, all of Statesville; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Celebration of Life services are scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m at Davisville Baptist Church. Members of the family will receive friends at the Cemetery from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., but will assemble at the residences of the grandparents, Cherie Gillion at 602 Brandon Street; or Kelly Summers at 141 Crosby Road, Statesville, at other times.
