Obituary

" For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Earth has no sorrow
that Heaven cannot heal.

He attended Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and Brown Chapel UMC Church, and graduated from the NC School for the Deaf. At the time of his death, he was employed by Home Depot, as a stocker. The call was sudden, the shock severe.
With little thought such grief was near.
Only those who have lost loved ones can tell,
the pain and parting without farewell.

Corey was a sweet little thing when I first met him at NCSD. He was close to my daughter Melissa Smith. Melissa cared about that little boy alot. He always called her "mama". She would treat him as if he was her little baby boy. It was so cute when I see them together. Those were some good memories back then when they were little kids. My heart goes out to all the family and let you all know I am praying for you all and so sorry for your Loss. May God Bless you all and give you comfort at this time of need. Corey, you are now in God's hands and free of worry, pain and debt. You will forever be remembered. May you Rest In Peace!
