Obituary

Mr. Garry Junior Clark, son of the late Frank Junior Clark and Mary Edna Stokes Clark, was born in Alexander County on April 27, 1949. He departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at his home.

He attended the Alexander County Schools and Morningside and was a loving brother and uncle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Clark and Douglas Clark and an infant sister, Ivy Jean Clark.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, two sisters, Mary Ann Clark and Brenda Clark, both of Statesville; his nieces and nephews, Travis Clark, Frankie Clark, Douglas Clark, Jr., Dewayne Clark, Jennifer Clark and Shanika Clark; his aunts and uncle, Vehester Dalton, Mary Essie Clark, David (Christine) Stokes, Ted Stokes, Sylvester Stokes and Kenneth (Wanda) Clark; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, August 17, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Bishop Nathaniel Lassiter will officiate with burial to follow on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the Belmont Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss , he's resting with the our heavenly father now, no more pain , he's in a better place than we are. He was a wonderful friend. Rest in Heaven Garry
